Is Fashion Finally Alongside the Curve?
Political climate and literal climate of the world aside for a haute couture minute; I am encouraged. As New York Fashion Week wrapped up and we ride along the taffeta train to the other cities – London and then Paris – I am thrilled by some of what I see.

Earlier this month Dolce & Gabbana launched a niche product in a blossoming market. Luxury hijabs and abayas adorned with the Italian brands signature elaborate work just arrived the Middle East. The beautiful items are embellished with lace and luscious prints sure to lure Muslim and non-Muslin fashion fanatics alike.
Model Diversity in Latest Balmain Campaign
You may ask why does diversity in fashion matter to me? Well, bluntly put, I am bored of seeing the same old same. I invite designers and brands to wake me up and shock me with something new not only with the fashion but the women and men who wear that fashion. I welcome designers and brands to show me, a consumer, their proposed future. Brands have the opportunity to create whatever products they like and for whomever. Do it then. Show me your vision. Try not to put me to sleep.
